This parish renewal process encourages reflection on the spiritual life of the individual as well as the community. Parishioners gather together in small groups to study texts and share faith with one another.
For over ten years at Corpus Christi, we have had small community of faith groups that meet twice a year to read books that help the participants on their own spiritual journeys. The groups range in size from 4 people to 14. They come together in the fall and in the spring to reconnect, pray and to discuss a book that all groups read. We have groups that meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and on Saturday morning. These groups meet for six-week sessions, several times per year.
Over the years, we have read modern authors like Rolheiser, Wicks and Chittister as well as the standards by St. Mother Teresa and Edward Hays. The book we will read, starting the week after Easter 2023, is another by Robert Wicks, “No Problem: Turning the Next Corner in Your Spiritual Life.”
If you are interested in joining an established group or starting one of your own, call the Corpus Christi office and we’ll get you connected. Please contact Deacon Larry Day for more information. (513-825-0618)
