In Baptism, we become adopted children of God. We are made part of Christ’s Body, the Church, and are freed from sin. This first sacrament of Christian initiation opens the door to the other sacraments. Jesus opens the door to the Kingdom of God to all who are baptized in water, and in the Holy Spirit.
If seeking baptism for children ages 7 to 18, or adults, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) are the processes that prepares them for Baptism, or to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church. This process takes several months with regular gatherings, leading up to the Easter Vigil. For more information, please follow the link:
If seeking baptism for children younger than the age of 7, our Infant Baptism Formation Workshop helps prepare parents and sponsors for the wonderful Rite of Baptism, and the important ongoing commitment to faith formation of children. They will then be welcomed into the Catholic Church on a predetermined date.
1. Parishioner Registration – To properly welcome your child and family into our community, we ask that you be a registered member of our family.
